The issue of aligning and integrating business and IT is a focus of many organizations in their strategic and tactical development. Constructing integrated enterprise architecture models and building flexible but stable business process models is halfway to achieve that goal and deploy sound information systems solutions. To better understand the research being done and trends for future work, this paper covers a state of the art over two important topics in this area, namely enterprise architecture modeling and business process modeling.
